New Designs and Pictures coming soon

       This week I am working on figuring out a bracelet design that was requested by Ej McDougall. The bracelet will combine the awareness ribbons and hearts. They will all be in the same color and alternate throughout the bracelet. I hope it turns out well because it sound like a great design. I will be posting picture once it is completed.
        Also over Christmas Break, I'm going to get new pictures of the bracelets. As of right now the pictures have different backgrounds depending on when I completed them. I want the picture to all have the same background. I'm excited about the pictures because I have needed to do it for a while, but with the school semester ending I haven't taken the time to get it done.
       

Turning a mistake around

I’ve been trying to design a Flash inspired bracelet for a while now. It was one of the first symbols I thought about because it was a simple lightning bolt. So I did a plain bolt, but it wasn’t thick enough. Then I tried to make it a little thicker, but I forget that it changes direction three times. Then I got it all together, I was going to make it thicker and have three changes of direction. However with the thicker lines it lost the bolt shape. I got disappointed and just set the pattern to the side. Then I looked at it again and realized something, it might not work for Flash, but it could use that design to make the A for an Aquaman inspired bracelet. I had been trying to figure out the design for Aquaman, so I would have the colors and the A.  So I gave it a try and I love the results. So the bracelet I thought would be so simple, still is in the works and the bracelet that I was stressing over is designed.

 

Fall inspiration

     This fall my inspiration is coming from several different places. One is the changing of the leaves. The nature color combination make for very pretty bracelets, even if I just use a simple design.
     Most importantly though has been the TV shows that I watch each week. Once Upon a Time is giving me inspiration for fairytale based bracelets. I can look at different things they use to identify the character in Storybrook and still keep them the character I grew up with. Then the new DC shows. Flash has really helped me with the design of a Flash inspired bracelet. Then Gotham and Arrow just inspire me to make more bracelets because while I watch these shows I think about what character will inspire my next bracelet.
    Of course, fall is also a time to get a little more active. It is the season of large meals and sweets, so if I don't stay active I will have to buy new clothes. What does fall inspire for you?

I have decided to sell my Friendship bracelets. I have just starting developing some of my own patterns, so some are the patterns I have designed and some are patterns I have modified.




I designed this site, so I can have all of my information together. I will be posting here and on Facebook still, but now there is one site where you can see it all. Well all of it except my Pinterest site.

Fall

     Fall has arrived and  I keep hearing that it is pumpkin season, but they are so wrong. It is Apple Cider season. There is nothing better than a cup of hot apple cider to warm you up. Well at least for me.
    My favorite part about fall though is all of the colors. I love to watch the leaves change color, being up early enough to see the sunrise, and late enough to see the sunset. Nature has such beautiful colors. I will be out and about with my camera, well actually my phone, to get some pictures of the leaves soon. That is if there are any left on the trees after it stops raining.
   I will be sharing some of pictures here. If anyone has any pictures of the beautiful colors that natures love to supply, I hope you will share them as well.

Colors

I love colors and this is just a small selection of what I have. When I find a pattern that I like these colors come into play.  I also use them when I am working on a pattern to see if I can get the look I want. I mean even if the pattern does not work out exactly how I want it will still look great.

Designing my bracelets

          I never thought that I would design anything. I can't draw, so it very difficult for me to draw out a design and transfer it to a pattern. So for my bracelets I started out by just making bracelets that I found a pattern for and just changed the colors to something I liked. After I made bracelets for while, I got bored with making the same old design and decided to try my hand a modifying the patterns that I found. Then I decided that I wanted to make my own bracelets.
        So I have started designing my own bracelets. I still can't do patterns, but I can get the design I want made. To make my bracelets, I will plan out my bracelet on graph paper and then I will start tying the bracelets. To make sure that it will turn out the way I want, I will start with a small amount of string and try the design.  I will make a small sample of design, I don't want to waste my material just in case it does not work. If it works, I will do a larger bracelet, but if it still doesn't work, I will find another use for it. I do love it however, when a design plan comes together, but it is a lot harder than I thought it was going to be.
       Here are a few of my favorite patterns I have designed. They were hard work, but worth it.
